Initial Design Palette

Lobby Renovation

The business that approached Inventure for this project wanted a complete lobby renovation fit to uphold health and safety standards as it was for the lobby of a clinic. Additional tasks included refreshing the elevators, the bathrooms and a retake on the means of egress.

My tasks included client meeting/presentation, concept resolution, site surveys, complete test fit, pricing plans, schematic design, revisions on design development, material pulls, 3D renders, resolving red lines on construction documentation. I worked alongside one other Inventure interior architect in completing the project. The final set above was created via Archicad and the presentation was completed via Keynote.

This was my second task within Inventure and it was interesting to work in a space where the materiality had to be very specific as the facility itself required antibacterial materials where it could be applied. It was also a great project in understanding bathroom and elevator materiality and feasibility of design choices taking into account regulations. I had to create multiple iterations for the lobby design, of which you can find an example below, which was a valuable experience in clear communication with the client and applying their design choices thoroughly until the design and technical criteria were met.
